This Guided Tour takes you through the historical centre of San Gimignano, the most beautifulwalled town of Tuscany, with its 14 tall towers and stunning medieval architecture.
Our local guide will take you around, introducing the origins, the governance of the medieval Commune,the social organization, and the main activities of medieval daily life.
You will visit the medieval frescoes of the Duomo and some of the many churches of the town,religious hubs, monasteries and guest-houses for pilgrims travelling along the Via Francigena on their way to Rome and Jerusalem. Whilst exploring the town along its stone and teracotta paved narrow streets and squares, you will be constantly surprised by the magnificent sights of the towers, and the spectacular views of gorgeous surrounding countryside. You will experience the daily life of medieval times through the many little precious details hidden in city: a magical voyage through the centuries up to nowadays lifestyle, with curiosities, local productions, different attractions.
