What shall I do if I have not received the "FINAL CONFIRMATION" message?

The "FINAL CONFIRMATION" is an additional message sent after having received your reservation on our online immediate booking system.

The "FINAL CONFIRMATION" is sent even if your reservation has been acknowledged and confirmation number has been issued.

The FINAL CONFIRMATION message is our method of double checking that all is in order.

Please contact us if you have not received a "FINAL CONFIRMATION" message.

!! (NOTE: Reservations made by letter, fax or "request booking" form do not receive the "FINAL CONFIRMATION" message

Come si arriva a San Gimignano?

Raggiungere San Gimignano � molto semplice.
Se state arrivando da Nord sull'autostrada A1,
uscite al casello FIRENZE CERTOSA e di seguito immettersi sul raccordo per SIENA.
Uscite a POGGIBONSI-NORD e continuate per 10km fino a San Gimignano.

Se state arrivando da Sud, lasciare l' A1 a VALDICHIANA,
proseguire per SIENA, immettersi sul raccordo per FIRENZE,uscite a POGGIBONSI-NORD e proseguite per San Gimignano.

Se arrivate da ovest c'� una scorciatoia consigliata da PISA :
seguite le direzioni per FIRENZE ed immetetevi sulla "FI PI LI" ,uscite a PONTEDERA (troverete prima PONTEDERA-PONSACCO ma dovete uscire alla seconda), alla grande rotatoria seguite le indicazioni per CASTELFALFI ( e anche FORCOLI, VOLTERRA, PALAIA).
Arrivati a CASTELFALFI troverete le indicazioni per SAN GIMIGNANO.

In treno si arriva fino a Poggibonsi ,dove c'� un serviziotaxi o l'autobus pubblico circa ogni ora. Si consiglia di scendere alla seconda fermata S.Matteo.
L'Hotel si trova nel centro storico di San Gimignano sulla via centrale San Matteo.

How can I get to San Gimignano?

Getting to San Gimignano is very easy:

By car from the North
on the Autostrada A1, exit at FIRENZE CERTOSA and then immediately enter Raccordo(blue sign SI-FI)to SIENA.After about 40km exit at POGGIBONSI-NORD and follow signs to San Gimignano,approx. 10km.

By car from the South,
exit the Autostrada A1 at VALDICHIANA and drive towards SIENA.Near Siena take Superstrada (blue sign SI-FI) towards FIRENZE.
Exit at POGGIBONSI-NORD and follow directions to San Gimignano.

By train

Fast train either from south and north get to FIRENZE S.MARIA NOVELLAFrom here take a local train to SIENA and get off at POGGIBONSI station (10 km far from San Gimignano),where you can catch a TAXI or BUS that leaves approx. every hour.

From ROMA AIRPORT FIUMICINO take highway A12 direction CIVITAVECCHIA,then follow for GROSSETO and then SIENA
Near Siena take Superstrada (blue sign SI-FI) towards FIRENZE.
Exit at POGGIBONSI-NORD and follow directions to San Gimignano.
(faster along the coast to avoid crossing Roma)

Suggested shortcut from PISA AIRPORT to SAN GIMIGNANO by car:
take direction to FIRENZE (State highway "FI PI LI", no toll ),exit at SECOND
PONTEDERA exit (don't exit the previous one PONTEDERA-PONSACCO!!), at the big roundabout go towards CASTELFALFI (same direction as FORCOLI, VOLTERRA, PALAIA)
Once in CASTELFALFI you will start to see signs for SAN GIMIGNANO.
Total trip time approx. 65-75 minutes

How far is the train station and how to get to the hotel without my own car?

The best way to get to our hotel in case you don't have a car is by taxi. Once you get to Poggibonsi by bus or train, taxi are usually standing out of the train station which will take you to the front of the hotel at average fare of 20,00 EUR. We can also book one for you anytime if finding any difficulty.

Closest bus-stop to L'Antico Pozzo is the second one "Porta San Matteo" which is about 80meters far from us. Unfortunately bus drivers usually do not inform about this much closer extra bus-stop once arrived in San Gimignano. From April to November a city bus service is also provided which can take you to the front of the hotel from 10.30am to 5.30pm.
